1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create a client portal account.
  • Business Information: Business name, industry, website URL, phone number, address, service area, target keywords, services offered, and other business details provided during onboarding.
  • Scorecard Submissions: Business name, website URL, email address, phone number, and location submitted through our free Visibility Scorecard tool.
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
  • Communications: Messages sent through the client portal chat, emails, and any other correspondence with our team.
  • CMS Credentials: Login credentials or API keys for your website’s content management system (WordPress, Wix, etc.), provided to enable content publishing.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interaction patterns within the client portal.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address.
  • SEO Performance Data: Keyword rankings, website traffic metrics, Google Business Profile data, and technical audit results gathered during service delivery.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver SEO Services: Create and publish optimized content, run technical audits, track keyword rankings, optimize your Google Business Profile, and generate performance reports.
  • Communicate With You: Send account notifications, performance reports, scorecard results, service updates, and respond to your inquiries via the portal chat.
  • Process Payments: Manage subscriptions, process billing through Stripe, and handle refund requests.
  • Improve Our Services: Analyze anonymized, aggregate performance data to improve our AI systems and service quality.
  • Marketing (Leads Only): If you submitted a Visibility Scorecard, we may send you follow-up emails about your results and our services. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Legal Compliance: Meet our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. AI and Your Data

Our Services use artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic Claude and related technologies) to generate content, analyze SEO data, and facilitate client communications.

  • Your business data (name, industry, services, keywords, location) is provided to AI systems as context to generate content specific to your business.
  • We do not use your data to train AI foundation models. Your data is used only in real-time to deliver your services.
  • AI-generated content published to your website may include a small disclosure noting that it was created with AI assistance. This disclosure is configurable in your account settings.
  • All content generated for your business is owned by you, as described in our Terms of Service.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share your information with the following categories of third-party service providers, solely to deliver and support our Services:

  • Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe collects and processes payment information under its own Privacy Policy.
  • Anthropic (Claude AI): AI content generation and analysis. Business context is sent to AI APIs for real-time service delivery. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train models.
  • Google APIs: Google Business Profile management, search ranking data, and Google OAuth for portal sign-in.
  • DataForSEO: Keyword ranking data and competitive analysis.
  • Railway (Cloud Hosting): Application hosting and database infrastructure.
  • Gmail (Google Workspace): Transactional and marketing email delivery from team@slingshotlocal.agency.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

  • Active Accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services.
  • After Cancellation: Account data is retained for 90 days post-cancellation to allow for account reactivation or data export, then permanently deleted.
  • Scorecard/Lead Data: Contact information submitted via the Visibility Scorecard is retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe from communications.
  • Legal Requirements: We may retain certain data longer if required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes).

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential Cookies: Authentication tokens for the client portal. These are strictly necessary for the portal to function and cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics: We may use basic analytics to understand website traffic patterns. No third-party tracking pixels or advertising cookies are used on our website.

We do not engage in cross-site tracking or targeted advertising.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • CMS credentials are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption.
  • The client portal uses JWT-based authentication with password hashing.
